Working With Us Is Structured, Steady, and Deliberate
From the first call through long-term placement, the process is organized and intentional.
A rotational household requires precision, communication, and aligned expectations. We manage the logistics so your home runs seamlessly across travel, time zones, and transitions.
Week One: Beginning the Search
You start with an initial call and service agreement review. Once signed, you complete a detailed Family Application followed by a structured consultation.
We clarify schedule, routines, travel expectations, and communication standards before the search officially launches.
Precision at this stage determines the strength of your candidate pool.
Week One: Clarifying the Support Structure
We draft a detailed job description based on your household structure and expectations.
You review and approve it. Once finalized, we activate our professional network and targeted outreach.
This is not a generic posting. This is a blueprint for who will be essential to your family’s rhythm.
Week Two: Meeting ROTA Nannies
Your Placement Manager introduces you to rotational caregivers selected for temperament, stamina, discretion, and long-term compatibility within a shared-care structure.
Most families meet one to three highly aligned candidates before deciding.
We do not introduce volume. We introduce intention.
Week Two–Three: Interview & Trial Process
We coordinate formal interviews and structured working interviews so you can observe communication, judgment, and adaptability in real time.
If a ROTA partner already exists, we assess collaboration style and handoff dynamics before finalizing placement. Compatibility between caregivers is as important as compatibility with your family.
Week Three–Four: Moving Forward
Following interviews, we arrange a structured 3–5 day working trial. This is how you experience daily rhythm, communication style, and natural interaction in real time.
Once you have selected your nanny, we guide compensation structuring, background screening, CPR confirmation, employment agreement finalization, and rotation logistics before the first official handoff.
Details are handled. You focus on the relationship.
Start Date + Ongoing: The First Weeks
As your nanny begins, we remain available to support onboarding and communication.
The focus is consistency, clarity, and aligned expectations between caregivers and parents. Early rotations establish the cadence for years ahead.
The transition into long-term employment should feel stable, not improvised.
How ROTA Nannies Are Selected
Candidates are sourced through professional referrals, national conferences, university networks, and targeted outreach.
Each caregiver is thoroughly interviewed, references verified, and experience reviewed before presentation. Formal background screening follows at the offer stage.
We prioritize emotional maturity, discretion, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in shared-care environments. Rotational care is not for everyone. We place people for whom it is.
Responsibilities & Scope
A ROTA nanny provides full childcare coverage during scheduled rotations while maintaining seamless continuity between caregivers.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily routines and structure
- School coordination and communication
- Travel logistics and preparation
- Children’s organization and spaces
- Meals, nutrition, and laundry
- Structured documentation during handoffs
Consistency between professionals is non-negotiable. We build handoff protocols that ensure children experience reliability, not confusion.
Compensation Structure
Compensation reflects the demands of rotational care.
Typical equivalent hourly rates: $40–$60+
Annual compensation structures: $80,000–$130,000+ depending on travel, overnights, and scope
All professionals meet minimum experience standards with verified references, CPR certification, and often advanced credentials.
Families serve as household employers and manage tax compliance. We connect you with trusted payroll partners to handle the infrastructure.
Timeline: We recommend beginning your search 4–6 weeks prior to your desired start date. Rotational placements require precision. Rushing compromises it.
