To be considered for opportunities through Pink Nannies, candidates bring strong professional experience, excellent references, and a clear commitment to this work.
- Able to verify atleast three years of professional childcare experience with strong, recent, verifiable references
- Ability to commit to a long term position for at least 1 year
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Paid legally as a W-2 employee
- Experience working in private homes for long-term nanny positions
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to pass a background check upon offer of employment
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license
Additional qualifications may be required depending on the family and role:
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced childcare related education
- Trustline registration (for California-based roles)

Application
You start with a initial application so we can understand your experience, strengths, and how you approach your work. We review every application to ensure candidates bring meaningful, professional childcare experience aligned with the role.
Candidates who move forward meet clearly defined standards across experience, legal employment, safety, and overall professionalism.
Agency Interview
You’re invited to meet with our team virtually to understand your communication style, your experience, and what you’re looking for in your next role.
We focus on how you think through situations, how you communicate, and how you carry yourself in a professional setting.
Detailed Profile
You complete a detailed profile that gives us a deeper understanding of who you are, how you think, and what makes your approach unique. This allows us to see your personality, values, communication style, and how you naturally show up in your work.
Every candidate brings something different. This is where we begin to understand those nuances and what truly sets you apart.
Reference Check
We speak with your references to gain a clear, honest picture of your experience, reliability, and how you operate in a home environment.
This gives us insight into your consistency, responsiveness, and the lasting impression you leave over time.
Online Review
Your online presence should reflect the same level of professionalism you bring into a home.
As part of our process, we review publicly available profiles and online content to ensure it reflects sound judgment and professionalism.
Alignment
Once there is strong alignment, we introduce you to opportunities that reflect your experience, your working style, and the kind of home where you’ll be successful.
We guide you through interviews, offer details, and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition.

About the Process
The best place to start is our Job Board! There, you can view open positions and start the application process here. We will review your application and get in touch with you if you are a good fit for the positions you have applied for. If we are unable to move forward with your application, you’ll hear from us too. So don’t worry, one way or another we will be in touch, and you do not have to contact us!
*Please note that due to the large number of applicants, we do not respond to direct calls or emails inquiring about the status of an application.
First, thank you for taking the time to allow us to get to know you better! After your interview, you will receive an email outlining the next steps (check your spam folder if you have not). In order to formally apply for a specific position, you will create a Pink Nannies candidate profile*. This is where you will upload your resume and other requested documents and information. Once you’ve uploaded everything, we will review it and get back to you if we have any questions.
*We are able to move forward with candidates once they have successfully completed their profile in its entirety, including requested uploaded documents like a resume or CPR/First Aid certification.The faster this is completed, the faster we can start sharing how awesome you are with families!
Once your vetting process has been completed by members of our staff, we'll look at your profile and send your profile to families whose positions you have expressed interest in. When families are excited to meet you and learn more, a member of the Pink Nannies team will reach out to coordinate an interview. If you do not hear from us, you were not selected for that position. Don’t get discouraged, though! We update our job board with new opportunities regularly, and you can reapply for other positions.

When deciding whether to apply, be sure to review the location, commute, ages of children, family dynamics, job expectations, duties, schedule, hourly rate range, benefits package, and start date by reading the description thoroughly. We will review your application and may then submit your profile to the family. If you do not hear from us, you were unfortunately not selected to move forward in the hiring process.

The competition for our open positions is fierce. Only roughly 10% of candidates are even considered! But don't give up hope! As you gain experience and new qualifications, you can update your application and submit it again.
If it's been longer than a few months since your last interview, we need to know what you've been up to and why you're seeking a new opportunity. We'll send you a link to schedule an interview with our team.
There are several variables to consider, like the state of the employment market, the time of year, your geographic area, your level of experience, and your educational and professional credentials, to name a few. Not every job seeker will discover their ideal position within a week, and some may never find one at all. Your chances of landing a position through Pink Nannies will increase if you are professional, prompt, and pleasant, and follow all of our recommendations and guidance.
Pink Nannies respects and admires parents and recognizes that raising one’s own children can teach you a lot. However, this is broadly not considered in the nannying industry as professional experience because nannying requires a different and unique set of skills, including but not limited to the ability to work in a private home, raise children according to the norms and philosophy of the family employing you, and so on. Therefore, Pink Nannies requires applicants to have 3+ years of professional, paid experience.
We are unable to hold off on contacting references until after a job offer has been accepted. Part of our screening and vetting process is ensuring that Pink Nannies is approving professional, experienced, and reliable applicants to submit to families. One way we do this is by contacting your most recent references to verify your employment history.
