What is a Newborn Care Specialist?
A professional who focuses exclusively on the early months of your baby's life. Feeding guidance, sleep structuring, establishing healthy routines. She's there while you recover and adjust to having a newborn. This is short-term, intensive infant support.
How are Newborn Care Specialists selected?
We have established relationships in the professional newborn care community. Each candidate gets evaluated for temperament, discretion, and schedule compatibility. Interviews are typically video. Working trials are uncommon because these placements move differently than others.
What does a typical newborn placement look like?
Most placements last three to six months. Common schedules are 12-hour overnights or 24-hour coverage. A lot of families start with full round-the-clock support and transition to overnight care once routines stabilize. She gets a nursery sleep space during shifts. For 24-hour roles, she needs a private rest area.
What is the compensation for Newborn Care Specialists?
Compensation reflects schedule and level of support. Typical ranges: $40 to $60 per hour, $480 to $720 per overnight shift, $760 to $1440 per 24-hour period. Travel requires family-provided transportation and accommodations. Transition guidance stays available once support ends.
