Week One: Clarifying the Support

We draft a precise job description aligned with your household’s structure.

After your approval, we activate our vetted network and targeted outreach.

Clarity at this stage drives quality results. A vague position attracts vague candidates.

Week Two: Meeting Candidates

In week two, you are introduced to carefully selected candidates whose experience and temperament align with your household.

Most families meet a small, highly curated group before deciding.

We remain closely involved throughout interviews so you have perspective and structure during evaluation. This is not a process where you’re on your own.

Week Three–Four: Moving Forward

Following interviews, we arrange a structured 3–5 day working trial so you can observe daily rhythm and communication in real time.

A trial period reveals things no interview can. How does she respond when your child is difficult? How does she handle your corrections? Does she think, or does she just react?

Once selected, we guide offer structuring, background screening, CPR verification, and start-date preparation. The logistics are handled.

Start Date + Ongoing: The First Weeks

During the first weeks, we remain available to support onboarding and communication as routines stabilize.

The focus is clarity, comfort, and consistent rhythm. Alignment early prevents friction later. Early weeks set the tone for years ahead.

How Candidates Are Selected

Candidates are sourced through professional referrals, national conferences, university networks, and targeted outreach.

Each caregiver is interviewed in depth, references verified, and experience reviewed before introduction. Formal background screening follows at the offer stage.

Responsibilities & Role Scope

A nanny’s primary responsibility is childcare and maintaining the child’s environment.

This includes:

  • Organizing children’s spaces
  • Meals and nutrition
  • Child laundry and clothing management
  • Child-related logistics and errands

If broader household management is required — vendor coordination, household systems, staff oversight — a hybrid nanny/household manager structure or dedicated household manager may be more appropriate.

Typical ranges:

  • $30–$40 per hour for standard childcare roles
  • $40–$50+ for specialized responsibilities, high cost-of-living areas, or advanced certifications

Professional standards: All candidates meet minimum experience thresholds with verified references and CPR certification.

Hour guarantees:

  • Part-time roles: 25+ hours per week
  • Full-time roles: 40+ hours per week

Employment structure: Families serve as household employers and manage tax compliance. We connect you with trusted payroll partners to handle the infrastructure.

Timeline: We recommend beginning your search 4–6 weeks prior to your desired start date. A thorough process cannot be rushed without compromising outcomes.
