The Pink Nannies® Newborn Care Specialists have undergone countless hours of training and courses to solidify their expertise in infant care. Many of our Nannies have also invested in certification in lactation support and sleep training, umbilical cord care, and postpartum doula work. Once your Newborn Care Specialist is no longer needed, they will work closely with your new Nanny to make the transition as smooth as possible! Our main priority is making sure you get the possible care for your Little One!

DUTIES

Duties of a Newborn Care Specialist may include overnight care, feeding (breast milk or formula), changing diapers, dressing, bathing, and comforting/soothing your infant. We also help you keep track of feeding and sleeping patterns so you can stay on routine. It can be overwhelming to keep things clean and organized with a newborn! Our specialists also assist with nursery organization, product recommendations, re-stocking the nursery, cleaning and sanitizing bottles and pump equipment, and all of your baby’s laundry.

Schedules

A typical schedule may be an overnight shift (9-12 hours) or 24-hour care for 5-7 days a week. Terms can be as short as a few days to 6+ months. The average length of time is 16 weeks when your baby is often able to sleep through the night. We highly recommend starting the consultation and interview process 2-3 months before your due date to be sure you find the perfect caregiver!
